I’m Quaron Jones, a marketing enthusiast, student, and content creator looking for my next opportunity to be an innovator. I am a confident, knowledgeable, and technophile marketing expert. Through real life projects, voluntary opportunities, and personal projects, I gained skills and expertise in various marketing disciplines. Web Development w/ WordPress

I’ve learned how to buy domains and hosting, as well as learn how to build simple websites (Frontend) with WordPress. This very site was built with it.

HTML Basics

I’ve learned the basics of HTML, including headers and paragraphs, images, iFrames, and a tiny bit of JavaScript.

PPC with Google Ads

I’ve learned the fundamentals of Google Ads Search campaigns, including ad rank, ad groups, budget and bidding strategies, keywords and keyword research, and ad extensions.

Search Engine Optimization

I’ve learned the basics of Search Engine Optimization. I know how to do keyword research, on-page and technical SEO, and I understand the importance of link building.

Social Media Marketing

I understand how social media can benefit businesses by connecting with their audience. I know how to create Facebook and Instagram business pages and ads. 

Canva

I learned how to use the design tool, Canva. As a digital marketer I have to know the basics of design.

Content Creation

In order to have practical digital marketing experience (& share what I learned) I created a blog in order to learn how to grow the site. I understand blog writing, video editing & producing from my YouTube channel.

Microsoft Office

I’ve been using Microsoft Word since the 6th grade. I have been using spreadsheets for the last two years, and I’ve taken an excel course in university. I am currently trying to be more proficient in excel by learning vLookup & Pivot tables

I’ve been using the Google Workspace since 10th grade, and have been using it every day since 2022.

August 2023 – Present 

Marketing Intern - DMA

My current focus involves spearheading the development of comprehensive content strategies for various marketing materials such as campaigns, brochures, biographies, and websites. I am deeply involved in the management of DMA’s dynamic presence on LinkedIn, consistently monitoring and evaluating social media activities, trends, and campaign results. This also entails providing valuable insights to facilitate continuous improvement. Furthermore, I play a crucial role in the setup and management of digital marketing campaigns, overseeing all components, including the intricate process of email drip campaigns, engaging website blogs, and impactful case studies. Additionally, I contribute to the creation of essential materials for proposals, correspondence, presentation materials, and reports, ensuring a cohesive and professional representation of our brand.

December 2022 – Present 

Digital Marketing Specialist - Freelance

I worked for myself in order to generate experience and I also worked for 2 others. I set up fully functional WordPress websites for myself and Hillkid Studio. I created Google Ads search campaigns and implemented proper account structure, analyzed potentially relevant traffic through keyword research, and A/B split testing.  I used Google Analytics 4 data to assess visitor behavior. I am optimizing my WordPress Site with SEO Yoast including title tags, content, and internal linking. I am utilizing competitive keyword research to determine rankability and find long tail keywords. I also created Instagram and Facebook business accounts.

May 2023 – Present 

Web Marketing Operations Intern - EnterpriseDB

My project is to design the web global localization strategy, working with translation services and processes to create personalized website experiences for language-specific site visitors. I work with regional marketing team members on content migration and new creation plans. I also stay on top of website requests and update pages using Drupal CMS and create copy documents and page templates for stakeholders to assist in their web page content creation. Lastly, I assist SEO-related site cleanup work, including fixing broken links, redirects and interlinking pages.
